John is a dual-qualified attorney licensed to practice law in Nigeria and New York, USA. He began his legal education at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, one of the most prestigious law schools not only in Nigeria but in West Africa. There, he sharpened his legal skills and was a member of the Moot and Mock Trial Team. During his time at OAU, he represented his university in Moot and Mock Trial competitions, earning numerous accolades—including winning the Manfred Lachs International Space Law Competition, African Regional Rounds, hosted by the International Institute of Space Law (IISL).
After completing his law degree and being called to the Nigerian bar, John worked at S.D. Ijie & Associates, a fast-paced commercial law firm in Lagos Mainland—the strategic heart of Nigeria’s “commercial capital.” There, he gained practical experience in law practice, especially in litigation.
To pursue advanced legal education, John received a partial scholarship for an LL.M. program at Pennsylvania State University—Dickinson Law in Pennsylvania, USA. This opportunity enabled him to relocate to the US, where he successfully passed the New York bar exam after completing his Master’s degree and is now admitted to the New York State Bar.
John’s keen interest in Personal Injury law stems from a strong desire to help people in distress and assist them in recovering from injuries caused by accidents. His negotiation skills ensure he leaves no stone unturned in representing his clients’ interests and securing the best possible outcomes. His trial advocacy skills guarantee that, if settlement negotiations fail to achieve desired results, he will passionately advocate for his clients before the court to seek the best possible outcome for them.
